The year is almost halfway over meaning you still have time to reinvent yourself. I am still reinventing myself halfway through the year but now is the perfect time. I was always struggling with things in my life when it comes to myself from skin care to mental health and physical health. I used to be that girl that people would make fun of but looking back now that was building my character. So, this post will be all about reinventing yourself. So, grab yourself some matcha tea, popcorn, a notebook, or whatever you need to read and capture everything I am about to tell you.

Self-Care

Solo Date

I’ve been slowly getting more into solo dates when my boyfriend is out working at times on the weekends. I take myself to Starbucks, the beach, or wherever my soul wants me. So, with that being said, take yourself out on solo dates, and buy yourself some flowers, coffee/tea, or whatever you want. No one will know you or get to know you as much as you know yourself.

Skin Care

Try and start to focus on your skincare routine. This goes for both morning and evening. Skin care is not only beneficial for your skin but also for your mood. Make sure when you wake up, you brush your teeth, wash your face, and moisturize your face while adding SPF to protect it from the sun.

Detox

Detoxing can mean many things. This can mean detoxing your body or your mind or a combination of both. Every once in a while I like to make detox water meaning water and lemon and drink it throughout the day. Find something that you can drink that can benefit your body and get rid of toxins that you don’t need anymore. Now mental detox can be a bit more complex, depending on each person.

Detoxing your mind takes a longer time. You can do this by deleting all social media apps, starting journaling, going out for a walk, or doing something that isn’t scrolling through your phone all day.

Body care

Just like you would take care of your beautiful face, now it’s time to take care of your beautiful body. Body care is just as important as your face care. So do the same on your body.

Exfoliate

Exfoliating your body gets rid of dead skin cells and brings out new healthier skin. Do this by using products like

Make sure when you are exfoliating your skin is wet. Some people do this dry just depending on your pain tolerance and what you prefer. I do this when my skin is wet and the days I am shaving my body. Which leads me to the next part.

Shaving

We have entered a new era where most women don’t shave and I applaud them for that. But, that is simply not me. I hate having hair on my body and when I miss a post I get annoyed. So shave as you see fit. Shaving is also a good form of exfoliating but still doesn’t do the same job as the ones I mentioned above.

Soap

Use a soap that is good for your body. I wouldn’t recommend Irish Spring since that can over-dry your skin. I highly recommend Dove soap since they do leave your skin nice and soft.

I would also recommend Bath and Body if you are not sensitive to smell or have sensitive skin.

Lotion

Use LOTION! The lotion provides a very good hydration to your body. Especially if you have dry skin. If you have dry skin, I would recommend using an extra hydration lotion like the Hydro Boost from Neutrogena. This lotion contains hyaluronic Acid which is crucial for the skin.

Perfumes/Mist

Find a scent that works for you and that you love. One scent can be your go-to, the other scent only for when you are going out at night, and so on.

Fitness

I recently got a gym membership and have been loving it. I also do a home workout. So whatever your preference is do it. Working is essential not only because you are getting fit but it’s so good for your mental health. Km

Ok, now we get to fitness. Staying fit is always a good thing for our mind and body. Just getting up and walking and moving is already a good start. You can take a stroll at your State Park, or go walking to the store. If you want to join a gym, join Planet Fitness.

Stretch

Stretching is important. When you stretch you get the blood flowing in your system and it’s a good way to wake up. I would recommend at least 5 minutes of stretching your upper and lower body.

Gym/Home Workout

If you are on a budget look for workouts on YouTube. I suggest one of my favorites. You can also sign up for Planet Fitness and pay $10/per month. I have the Black Card due to wanting those extra perks of going to whichever Planet Fitness worldwide, massage, and bringing my man with me. If you’re not on the budget you can join LA Fitness which offers a lot more benefits.

Now if you’re not a gym person, work out at home. you can use YouTube which is free or use Apple Fitness for those who have an iPhone. No, you don’t need an Apple Watch anymore to use the app. You can build your routine through the app.

Diet

My diet has changed for health-related reasons. So I am now on the Mediterranean Diet. Sometimes I break it and that’s fine. Depending on your health look for a diet that works for you.

If you want to increase weight I suggest a high-protein diet even if you want to lose some weight. Everything depends on your body and your goal.

Goals

Now talking about goals. Make sure your goals are realistic to you. Don’t think you’ll lose weight 100 lbs in 2 weeks. This depends on your body type what you eat and the type of workouts that you are doing.

Education

Learning something new expands your mind more. Learn how to do something different like mastering AI, or investing in the stock market. You might want to learn how to create a website site from scratch meaning coding or maybe social media marketing. There are a lot of different things you can learn on the web for free or pay a monthly fee.

 

Knowledge is power

 

I recommend Skill Share a platform that teaches you things like coding, marketing, AI and so much more. This platform has creators who have done it and are now teaching you how you can too.
