Spring has started and that means a new year to begin a new business. Whether you have thought about opening up an online store selling products/services, creating a blog site, YouTube or whatever you might be thinking about that can potentially start making you money it a good thing. As a business owner from blog sites to selling custom cups and shirts. I have my experience and I believe I can help you set up your business in a matter of a week or so depending on your state. So let’s start here.

01.

Brainstorm

Start thinking about what kind of business you want. This might be selling candles, beauty products, clothing, and so on. Having the right idea in mind is the first start to starting a new business.

02.

Research

Look at what others are doing for their business. What platform are they mainly on? Do they ad new pieces on to their store every day, weekly, monthly, or seasonal? What are their demographics? Look at different different hosting site for your business. This can be an online store or a landing page. For the store I would recommend using Shopify. Using that link you get Spotify for $1 to try out and cancel with no questions ask.

03.

Legal

Depending on your state, legal paper work might be different from one another. In FL we have to file for a LLC through Sunbiz.org. To see where to register your business name please visit SBA and scroll down to where you will see select your state. Now you will have to think about what type of business you want, a sole, LLC, non-profit, C-corparte or an S-corprate. You can learn more about each one of them in my other blog post.

04.

EIN

Now that you have registered your business with the date you want it to be effective, now it’s time to get yourself an EIN which is 100% free. You might find places where they say you have to pay, but that is a scam. EIN is free and there no fee for it. An EIN stands for Employer Identification Number. This will identify your business and will help later on if you are planning on opening up a business checking account, hire employees and so on. To apply for an EIN, you’ll need to apply through the IRS page.

05.

Hosting Site

Depending on the type of business you want to have, start look at hosting site like Shopify if you want an e-commerce, or if you are looking into creating courses, I would suggest Teachable. I used to use this before when I was creating a blogging course a few years back.

06.

Take a breath

Yes, this is part of the steps cause you already did a lot. Take a moment for yourself after all you’ve done. Go for a walk, call your parents, friends, play a video game or go for that coffee you’ve been craving all day.

07.

Domain

I highly suggest you get buy your domain in Name Cheap for the obvious reason, it’s cheap. I got this domain for under $7. I’ve used name cheap for all the domain I’ve brought in the past. I will continue to use them till god knows when. Name cheap is so much more than a domain site but I do like using them every chance I get.

08.

Social media

Choose the social platform you want to use, this can be Instagram, Tim Tok,  or Youtube. Each of these platform offers different things that can help showcase your item/services. On social media, make sure you set you profiles are business or creator. This will allow you to do more things on your account vs personal page.

  • YouTube is a platform that continues to show impressive growth as video has become the preferred medium of digital content consumption. If you enjoy being on video or the process of video creation, this is a great platform to build on. Beauty tutorials, product reviews, and daily life vlogging are all video categories that have been trending for a while now.
  • TikTok is a great platform to share light-hearted videos in a short, digestible format. While your devoted followers may be willing to invest time in consuming lengthier YouTube videos you produce, shorter TikTok videos can be a great way to go viral and introduce yourself to new audiences. This can give them a taste of who you are and entice them to subscribe to your other channels helping you grow your following.
  • Instagram can be a fantastic way to post content showcasing a travel adventure, snippets of your daily life, creative meals you’ve whipped up, or even stylish purchases from your latest shopping haul. Instagram feels more personal (it was originally created with community in mind after all!) so this is one of the best platforms to build a personal relationship with your audience. If you’re just getting into video content, Reels on Instagram is also a great place to start and one of the best ways to grow your audience.

09.

Add Products/Services

now that you have your site up and almost running, time to add your products or services to it. This will take the most time I would say depending on what you are adding to your e-commerce business.

10.

Launch

Now that you have set up everyone from social media, registered your business and added your products/services. You can officially launch your business and have it grow.

There is so many ways to grow a new small business, but always remember to never give up. Things won’t be easy and you will have days where you want to give up and those are the days you step back and remember why you started it in the first place.

There may be others champing at the bit, but Ralph Lauren’s spring collection proves that he remains the master of all-American fashion. From the blue-and-white striped top paired with a navy floral skirt and accented with a neck scarf, to the matching twinset—its cardigan tied at the waist of a pair of periwinkle pants—the effort was a welcome departure from the decadence we so often expect from a fashion show. (Well, at least most fashion shows.) Lauren also made a great case for the brown leather belt. It will certainly be at the top of many spring shopping lists
